Sun Valley Lodge Announces Discover Arizona Lineup
Sun City, Arizona – Thursday, March 03, 2011 – Sun Valley Lodge has again been awarded a grant from the Arizona Humanities Council to host our popular Discover Arizona series. For the third straight year, we will be presenting programs designed to explore life in Arizona. The public is invited to join us every Thursday at 10:00 AM from March 31st through April 28th to celebrate and explore our fascinating state.
Marketing Director Mike Kloberdanz said, “We wish to express our gratitude to the Arizona Humanities Council for their support of this series and our community. We love being able to host this type of quality programming at the Lodge.”
All programs on the following schedule begin at 10:00 AM:
- March 31st, “Lewis & Clark: The Arizona Connection”
- April 7th, “Arizona's War Town: Flagstaff, Navajo Ordnance Depot, and World War II”
- April 14th, “Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame”
- April 21st, “Spelunking for the Corps:
- The Civilian Conservation Corps at Colossal Cave Mountain Park”
- April 28th, “The Fight in the Salt River Canyon: Skull Cave, December 1872”
